CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT INSPIRES CRITICAL CARE
The ‘Inspiring Critical Care’ CPD accredited study visit, which took place on 5th & 6th September, saw 24 critical care health professionals from the UK, Ireland, Romania and Spain, attend the Armstrong Medical facility in Coleraine to learn about and discuss the most current and pertinent issues in critical care. Activities included sessions with esteemed speakers, meeting the faces behind production with a factory tour and an engaging series of workshops focusing on respiratory therapies.
Chief Commercial Officer – Respiratory, Andi Regan-Murphy, extended a warm welcome to the attendees, stating,
We are delighted to offer this educational opportunity to a highly specialised group of healthcare professionals dedicated to supporting patients and their families in critical care settings. The invaluable insights shared by our guest speakers, spanning topics like 'ARDS Guidelines and Management,' 'Promoting Health Literacy in Critical Care,' 'Enhancing Wellbeing,' 'The Role of the IACCN,' and 'Exploring the Anatomy and Physiology of the Lungs,' enriched the experience for our guests.

Speakers at the event included educator and practitioner ‘The Critical Care Practitioner’ Jonathan Downham; Health Literacy Advocate and trainee Advanced Critical Care Practitioner, Dominique Byrne; Chairperson of the Irish Association of Critical Care Nurses, Anna Marie Murphy; Wellbeing Champion and Candidate Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Niamh O’Connor, Intensive Care Consultant, Dr. Segun Olusanya and founder of Be Inspired To Be®, Belinda O’Neill.
Collaborating closely with respiratory healthcare professionals remains a core focus for Armstrong Medical, and customer visits are an integral part of this partnership. The next CPD study event, planned for November, will delve into neonatal aspects, with a particular focus on optimising outcomes.
