Respiratory device and consumables manufacturer Armstrong Medical has teamed up with Northern Ireland’s leading inspirational author and motivational speaker, Belinda O’Neill (Be Inspired To Be®) to launch their latest ‘Inspire’ initiative, to show their appreciation to nursing staff from across the UK and ROI. The first part of the initiative will involve Belinda sharing her inspirational story in her ‘Be Inspired To Be®’ podcast, available on Spotify and Apple today. This is the first of three podcasts sponsored by Armstrong Medical.
Speaking about the partnership, Belinda O’Neill from Be Inspired To Be®, said: “I’m delighted to partner with Armstrong Medical for this campaign. The resilience of the nursing community through the most challenging of times is remarkable. Having had a close family member in an intensive care unit, I have seen first-hand the level of care and compassion offered to both the patient and family members. This is a wonderful initiative by Armstrong Medical and one I’m proud to be part of.”
Head of Marketing at Armstrong Medical, Patrick McLain, explains: “As a responsible medical device manufacturer we want to acknowledge the immense pressure that our healthcare professionals are under. The ‘Inspire’ initiative will encourage healthcare professionals, especially those in critical care nursing, to look after their physical and mental health and will act as a reminder of how valued they are. All too often acknowledgement can be overlooked, but it is vital for morale, a healthy team and safe and high performance. We are delighted to be partnering with Belinda in helping to bring this initiative to nurses and it goes a small way to demonstrate our appreciation of the role they play in society.”
Linking in with the NHS and HSE ‘5 Steps to Wellness’ campaign the ‘Inspire’ initiative will provide Critical Care Nurses with inspirational reminders penned by Belinda O’Neill; the ‘Be Inspired To Be®’ daily inspiration book will be presented to hospitals for family or staff rooms; Inspirational podcasts will be dedicated to healthcare professions and working in partnership with a number of hospitals Armstrong Medical will support their individual wellbeing agenda.
The initiative will culminate in Armstrong Medical’s Nurse Appreciation Week in March 2023 when the company celebrates nurses in hospitals across the UK and ROI and internationally in partnership with their distribution network.
