Angela McCracken, a part-time receptionist at Armstrong Medical for 8 years, has a unique talent outside of her day job.
Angela is the owner of Angela McCracken Pottery, a bespoke pottery business based at a workshop in her home in Ballymoney.
When Angela began training as a Potter over 27 years ago, she was busy raising a young family and didn’t get time to finish her studies. When her son James left home to go to university in England, she updated her training, enjoying it so much that she decided to set up her own pottery business.
Angela launched the business in 2017, selling her unique product range to customers across the North Coast and beyond. Angela designs and creates ceramic mugs, plant pots, dog bowls, bird feeders and Christmas decorations.
Angela’s pottery can be purchased at her workshop and online via her social media pages. She also regularly sells her items at local markets and fairs. Angela hosts one to one training and group classes.
Angela said, “I really enjoy making pottery that people can use and enjoy in their everyday life. When I’m in my studio, I lose track of time creating unique pieces inspired by the beautiful countryside and beaches I’m surrounded by here on the North Coast.
I’d like to thank my employers, Armstrong Medical, for their continued support. In particular, John Armstrong has been hugely supportive since day one, always offering much needed business advice when I’ve needed it most.”
