Armstrong Medical Ltd, as part of their Business in the Community initiative, is pleased to help support the efforts of Park Run with funding towards the cost of hiring their changing facilities.

Park Run is a phenomenon that is sweeping the country, with 9 weekly events across Northern Ireland and 30,000 weekly worldwide runners. Portrush Park Run is part of a global family and proud to be the only beach Park Run.

The Portrush Park Run is special because of the friendly atmosphere, male & female, young and old, walking or running, all enjoying our stunning coastline and all for FREE.

If you want a great start to your Saturday to walk or run with a friendly bunch then there is no better way. Each Saturday is a unique experience depending on the mood of Mother Nature. High tide or low tide can make a significant difference to a runner’s time but the spectacular coast line stays the same. More than 400 runners have experienced the unique Portrush course, enjoying rain, hail, snow and gales and the numbers keep climbing with 150 participants, over the past two weeks.

Andy Deal, Park Run Race Director stated:

Park Run is grateful to Armstrong Medical for its continued support over the last 6 months, with the inclement weather over the winter months the changing facilities have proven a welcomed haven for the runners and volunteers each Saturday morning.

Park Run is a weekly, free, timed 5k run which takes place every Saturday at 9.30am on Portrush East Strand. For more information please click here.
