The Armstrong Medical charity of the year for 2019 was Air Ambulance NI
Our Operations Department, who nominated the charity, planned and delivered a number of fundraising events throughout the year. Events included a ‘Brainy Bunch’ quiz, a raffle for half a day of annual leave and a ‘Big Brunch’ breakfast for all staff.
On 12th December, Operations Director, Donna McFadden, along with key organisers Alan Harper (Manufacturing Manager) and Peter Francis (Assembly Manager), was pleased to present a cheque for £1000 to the charity.
Michelle McDaid, Corporate Fundraising Manager said,
“Air Ambulance NI were delighted to be chosen to benefit from the recent fundraising by the staff of Armstrong Medical. Our charity relies heavily on the generosity of people in our region to keep us sustained. It takes £2 million a year equating to £5,500 per day to run the service, therefore, your support is very much appreciated and really does help to keep our medics flying. Your giving will help to keep others living. Thank you.”
