Dominican College Educational Visit

Sixth Form Science and Technology Tour and Visit

24th October 2019

On 23rd October we welcomed pupils from Dominican College in Portstewart to our manufacturing facilities for an educational visit.

Twenty Chemistry and Technology A-level students attended to gain an understanding of our processes from research and development, quality control, production and the finished product.

Our HR Manager, Kathryn Smith, presented on our company vision and provided pupils with an overview of our unique distribution channels and supply chain. Alan Harper, Manufacturing Manager, introduced the AMSORB® Plus product range, explaining the process from design through to production.

The students also received a tour of the factory, visiting three of our Production areas – AMSORB® Plus, Mouldshop and Tool Room and were also given the opportunity to speak to our Design team and our Laboratory Assistant.

Kathryn Smith said;

“It is always a pleasure to open the doors of our facility for educational purposes. We enjoy school visits as it’s great to share our story with the next generation – perhaps even future employees! Dominican College have been visiting Armstrong Medical annually since 2008 and we always get great feedback from the students.”
