Pilot Balloon Acts as
Over Pressure Indicator

Our laryngeal airways encourage the inflate-to-fit insertion technique as the pilot balloon acts as an over pressure indicator when there is excessive intracuff pressure.  Likewise, deflation of the pilot balloon indicates loss of intracuff pressure and may signify a need for additional cuff inflation.

 

Unique One-Piece Design

The cuff, back plate and lumen are made as a unique one-piece design, which not only ensures accurates alignment of the airway during insertion but also emininates the risk of cuff separation on removal of the airway.

The cuff, back plate and lumen are made from AmSIL, a special silicone blend unique to Armstrong Medical, which offers enhanced flexibility.  This added flexibility enables positioning of the airway and breathing system outside the surgical field without increasing the risk of airway displacement.
